Social Media Mishap: Couple’s Balcony Reel Reveals Hidden Ganja Plant, Police Takes Action

Bengaluru: In an unexpected twist, a couple’s social media reel cost them more than just likes—it led them straight to the police station. Urmila and Gurung, a couple from Nepal living in MSR Nagar, had been growing a marijuana plant tucked away among 15 other flowering plants on their balcony. But their secret garden didn’t stay hidden for long.

Urmila, while shooting for a reel in her balcony garden, accidentally exposed more than intended. Her video, captured marijuana plant nestled among the pots. It caught the eye of a sharp viewer who tipped off the police.

Sadashivanagar police, acting on the tip-off, visited the couple’s residence and discovered the plant. The police seized 54 grams of marijuana leaves, and the couple were quickly escorted to the station. They were released on station bail. While social media can bring fame, in this case, it brought the couple some unexpected trouble.
